Creative Writing to Form Community, Reduce Loneliness, and Keep You Inspired

Reignite your creative spark and connect deeply with others in a space free of judgment. Using The Narrative Method (TNM) developed by Shari Foos, seasoned facilitator Elizabeth Philipose will gently guide participants through a prompt-based, short-form writing practice followed by sharing in small groups. Shared witnessing strengthens our voices and teaches us how much our creative voice matters. Participants experience increased empathy and tolerance, decreased self-consciousness and self-criticism, and more freedom in their creative expression.

Frequency: 4 in-person meetings, April 2, 9, 16, 23.

All sessions are from 12-12:45 CST.

Suggested Donation: $11-15 per session

What is The Narrative Method?

The Narrative Method is a model of creating connection in a disconnected world. We are bringing TNM to Eye of the Heart to deepen connections between Eye of the Heart participants. TNM is a comprehensive program that has hosted thousands of salons over several years with great results. You can learn more about it here: www.thenarrativemethod.org/.

Guidelines:

The salons facilitate creative expression without pressure, expectations, or project goals. Feedback, judgment, approval or disapproval are not permitted. We listen and receive each other as witnesses. Participants agree to keep their cameras on, share what they wrote in each session, and stay for the whole time.
