Emily Jarrett Hughes is a mother, dancer, healer, and wisdom teacher. 

She teaches and performs traditional dances as a tool for transformation based on her in-depth study with pioneering scholar Laura Shannon. She is a Spring Forest Qigong Certified Healer and Trainer. She leads workshops and retreats exploring embodied theology, cosmic evolution, water and social transformation. Through her work she seeks to honor the prayers of both her European ancestors and the ancestors of the place where she lives, Mni Sota Makoce (Minneapolis), “where the waters reflect the heavens,” in the traditional territory of the Dakota.
