Postcard Exchange Project

Do you love the charm of handwritten letters and the excitement of receiving snail mail?

Join us for a delightful postcard exchange project! Each participant will send out one postcard per day, while also receiving postcards from fellow participants in return. Participants are asked to share a small poem, haiku, drawing, painting or deep thought - making each one a unique work of art and a little gift of inspiration.

In the cold, gray month of February, this is a perfect opportunity to spread warmth, creativity, and love within our community. Spark your artistic side, connect with others, and brighten your days with beautiful, heartfelt mail.

A few notes:

  • This is a daily commitment. If you happen to miss a day or two, we ask that you catch up as soon as possible so that no participant misses out on receiving their postcards. One of the key benefits of this project is the daily connection to your creative self, and we hope it inspires you to cultivate a consistent creative practice.

  • Participants are responsible for supplying their own postage.

  • According to the United States Postal Service, postcards are 5-6” in length, 3.5-4.25” in height, and require $0.56 of postage.

  • In the interest of this being low cost and easy - we recommend cutting up your cereal and cracker boxes for a free option. Alternatively, any paper you have that is hearty enough to withstand USPS processing is a great option. If your medium is watercolor, art stores typically have packs of watercolor paper in post card size, or a reinforced index card could work.

  • By registering, you agree to share your mailing address with the other participants (up to 28).

  • Please note that this is for US residents only.

The following link will have you join the Eye of the Heart online community on Mighty Network, but there is no pressure to stay for this offline commitment. This will be a space to share with one another photos or notes as we write and drop our postcards into the mailbox.

Stay up-to-date on online and in-person events!
