Beauty and Creativity

Creativity is the essence of creation; participation in the creative process connects us to the heart of life. In a culture where art is often commodified and consumed, we seek to reclaim participatory, reverent, and community-building experiences of art-making and beauty. We create an environment where art is taught as a practice and understood as a means for traversing the path of personal and collective transformation.

Integrity and Equity Through Contemplation

We believe our means not only shape our ends, they are the point. Process and product are united. Therefore we attend to how we are together, practicing creative contemplative listening, not just within our programming but in every process of our organization. Every activity is an opportunity for practice. Because navigating conflict is critical to community formation, we have a clear, transparent process for addressing conflicts, micro-aggressions, historical traumas, and injustices that arise in our community.

Meaningful Community

We value the depth of connection that comes of shared purpose, meaningful work, commitment, and transformational (rather than transactional) relationships. Hospitality is a central value of our ministry. We create inviting, inclusive, equitable environments with a culture of openness and respect.

Sacred Feminine and Mystery

As a counterbalance to the toxic effects of male-dominated religion and millennia-long oppression of women, we uplift feminine energy in all its manifestations, holding women’s wisdom and leadership as central to our organizational structure and functioning. We value cooperative listening, compassion, hospitality, intuition, community, reverence for the body and the natural world, beauty, yielding to mystery, care-giving, descent, darkness, interdependence, creation and destruction–qualities we attribute to the Divine Feminine. Intentional reverence for and participation with this divine mother is foundational in our work.

Our Collective Structure

Staff-Led Organization

We are a staff-led organization, sharing power and leadership with each other. In our evolving model, staff set the direction of the organization and are supported by a Circle of Elders and Board of Directors.

We are a fiscally sponsored collective (eligible for charitable donations). The following structures and practices support integrity, success, and accountability:

Contemplative dialogue, listening, and decision-making guide our process. We continually practice discernment together.
Staff meet weekly, preceded by a lunch time dedicated to community building.
During monthly day-long retreats the staff team takes a deeper dive into organizational development and giving feedback to each other.
Joy, beauty, play, and creativity infuse our work.
Our organization is non-hierarchical with equal pay.
We are designed to grow, evolve, and welcome new members.
We follow a clear accountability process with final authority resting in a Circle of Elders.

Introducing Our Collective

We are starting as three queer white women who create healing and transformative experiences, art, and community in service to the Divine Feminine. We have received advanced training in our art form(s) or spiritual practice(s) or both. We share in-depth practice, intellectual rigor, and a commitment to recovering the perennial wisdom tradition as it flows through our Christian and pre-Christian ancestral lines. Honoring all lineages as pathways to the Sacred, we look forward to how our collective will be enriched and expanded by future members.
