Recover a Natural Rhythm of Rest
Hello Friend,
I remember when I got a serious cancer diagnosis with 50/50 odds. I found it very scary. But healing through that fear was incredibly liberating. Ever since then, anything else that seems perilously uncertain – ecologically or politically – is not 100% impossible.
How can that be?
I know that unconditional love is the most powerful force in the universe. I know there is a bigger picture much larger than I will every understand holding everything together. I know that impossible-seeming transformations are possible.
Qigong practice has been invaluable in giving me these insights. Qigong can empower each of us to work with the ups and downs of energy, even when it is disruptive and confusing.
At the core, qigong is about working with the natural patterns of energy flow in the universe.
That’s why I’m strangely devoted to a technically challenging idea: creating qigong meditation videos for you in the night. I want to help you recover the natural rhythm of rest, dreaming, and renewal that comes with the night.
It can be so hard to rest when we feel like we need to do more, be more, or get more. You may be unconscious of how powerful this voice of insufficiency is until you recognize how very hard it is to stop.
This 10 minute Qigong practice for Self-Acceptance kicks off my night-themed videos in the Creative Nature Qigong Meditations series. The darkest nights will continue through January and I want all of us to get maximum benefit of this season of rest.
All my love,
Emily
